Washington D.C., September 23, 2018 – The Institute for Portfolio Alternatives (IPA) will hold its inaugural Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) Practice Management Workshop in Dallas on October 15-16, 2018, bringing together top RIAs to discuss portfolio construction and practice management solutions.

The two-day event will cover a spectrum of critical topics and provide actionable solutions for top financial advisors. Industry experts will offer unique insights on portfolio construction strategy, including sessions on endowment-style investing, implementing direct participation programs and more:

  • Who: Registered Investment Advisors
  • What: IPA RIA Practice Management Workshop
  • When: October 15-16, 2018
  • Where: The Marriott at Legacy Town Center, 7121 Bishop Road, Plano, TX 75024, (972) 473-6444

“RIAs need innovative solutions to both deliver for their clients and to run their businesses,” said Tony Chereso, President and CEO of the IPA.

The workshop is carefully designed to help RIAs understand a range of portfolio diversifying investment strategies.

“As retirement dollars shift from defined benefit plans to self-directed defined contribution plans and individual retirement accounts, individual investors are turning to their financial advisors to find ways to diversify their portfolios with real assets, as institutional investors have done for years,” Chereso added.

The workshop will also explore practice management best practices with sessions on high trust leadership, marketing and due diligence.
