Financial Services Industry Veteran Sori Farsheed Joins the Institute for Portfolio Alternatives as Executive Director – Strategic Partnerships
The Institute for Portfolio Alternatives (IPA), the leading advocacy and education group for portfolio diversifying investment (PDI) products, announced today that Ms. Sori Farsheed has joined the association in a newly created role of executive director of strategic partnerships.
A 30-year financial services industry veteran, Ms. Farsheed has held a variety of senior-level business development and relationship management roles for notable firms within the IPA community, including Bluerock Capital Markets, CION Investments, Legg Mason and Alliance Bernstein. She brings extensive experience in developing distribution strategy across the independent broker-dealer, bank and wirehouse channels for a broad array of alternative investment products as well as exchange-traded funds, exchange-traded notes, structured products, interval funds and mutual funds.

Ms. Farsheed’s new role combines education and business development functions for the IPA. She will lead the association in strategic planning and execution of educational initiatives, conferences and webinar series. Additionally, she will be charged with expanding membership, increasing engagement and ensuring the highest level of marketing and educational support for all IPA members.
Ms. Farsheed resides in the suburbs of Washington D.C. and holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.
