Dear Members and Friends,

The wellbeing of our members and staff is the IPA’s highest priority, and we remain diligent in our commitment to providing a safe and hospitable environment for all who attend our events, always.

The IPA is closely monitoring updates on the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) from local and international health authorities and its potential impact on IPASummit and Capitol Hill Day 2020, happening April 27-30 in Washington, D.C. As you might imagine, this situation is very fluid.

The IPA Executive Committee recently met to review the latest available information. After a thorough assessment, it was the collective decision of the Executive Committee not to immediately cancel the IPASummit. Over the next few weeks we will continue monitoring the events and reassess the impacts of COVID-19. We are committed to hosting this critical industry leading event, but we will not sacrifice the health and wellbeing of each of you.

Lastly, we have been in contact with the event venue – The Capital Hilton – and as a place of public accommodation, Hilton’s priority is to provide a safe, healthy and welcoming environment for all guests. We are very fortunate that Ashford Inc., a leading owner/operator of hospitality assets, owns and operates the Capital Hilton. We have spoken with senior leadership and are confident they are taking all necessary steps in response to COVID-19.

The IPA will continue to monitor the situation closely and advise our members and those who have registered for IPASummit accordingly. In the meantime, if you’re planning on attending please register knowing registration fee are fully refundable in the event our plans change. If anything should change, we will be certain to communicate updates promptly. If you have questions regarding the IPA’s refund policy for our events, please feel free to contact me directly or Tracy Mesterharm at .

Best wishes,
