Dear IPA Members,

As part of our commitment to addressing a key priority in the IPA’s , our Board recently approved a new committee structure that is designed to be more streamlined, productive and effective. The new approach aligns with our strategic goals and is based on recommendations put forth by a task force who gathered and vetted feedback from across the IPA’s membership.


Six Committees

  • Policy, Regulatory and Legal Affairs
  • Industry Data and Research
  • Technology, Innovation and Operations
  • Compliance & Due Diligence
  • Diversity and Inclusion
  • Industry Products

Each committee is composed of a Chair, Chair Elect and 10-12 Committee Members who will serve one-year terms (with the option of being renewed for one additional year). Typically terms will run from January – December. However, given the time needed to implement this new approach, those selected now will serve an 18-month term (June 2020 – December 2021).

Chairs and Chair Elects will be chosen by the IPA Board in late April. They will then work with IPA staff to select Committee Members from the applicant pool by the end of May.

Committee Interest Groups (CIGs)

Each Committee has a corresponding interest group that is open to all IPA members who want to stay up-to-date and provide input on the topics that are being addressed.

Task Forces

We will continue to create Task Forces, when needed, to focus on specific topics. Participants will primarily be recruited from the Committee Interest Groups.


All IPA members are eligible to apply to serve as Committee Chairs, Chair-Elects and/or Committee Members.
