Industry veteran joins the IPA from The Beneficent Company Group

WASHINGTON, February 7, 2022 – The Institute for Portfolio Alternatives (IPA) today announced that Emily Wills has joined the association as Conference & Membership Services Manager. In this newly created role, Wills will enhance member experience through planning and executing industry-leading conferences and events. The Conference & Membership Services Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring all IPA members have opportunities to be involved and have top-tier experiences and customer service.

Wills’s role enhances the IPA’s capacity to grow our conference and event platform and address the critical needs of our members. She will lead the association’s efforts to strategically curate one-of-a-kind networking and educational experiences. Having a dedicated role solely focused on conferences, events, webinars, thought leadership and other components of the IPA’s offerings ensures we maintain the highest level of quality and value that our members have grown to expect.

“Emily’s extensive communications, conference and event experience coupled with her deep industry expertise position her well to guide and grow our expanding lineup of networking and educational events,” Tony Chereso, President and Chief Executive Officer of the IPA, said. “Her understanding of our industry, and more importantly the membership that makes up the IPA community, will make Emily an essential asset to our team.”

Wills joins the IPA from The Beneficent Company Group, where she managed the planning, strategy and execution of all internal and external conferences, tradeshows, meetings and virtual events. Prior to her role at The Beneficent Company Group, Wills held various communications and event planning positions both within and outside our industry.

A resident of Minneapolis, Wills holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies, Organizational and Professional from The University of Wisconsin and is a Certified Meeting Professional.
