The Board of Directors today announced the posting for the position of President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Institute for Portfolio Alternatives (IPA). The Board is looking for our association’s next leader to advance our strategic priorities in support of our members.

The President and CEO is the face of the IPA, responsible for overall leadership and strategic planning. Selected by the Board of Directors, the President and CEO has the responsibility to carry out our mission and ensure all aspects of the organization deliver on our guiding principles. The position requires proven leadership and management experience to lead a senior full-time staff, a team of dedicated outside contractors and a diverse volunteer membership.

A successful candidate is a mature, energetic, and creative leader who will build on the organization’s standard for excellence and provide strategic direction while embracing opportunities for new initiatives and global development. The President and CEO would embody the mission and vision of the organization and serve at the direction of the Board. The President and CEO will execute the IPA’s vision, put procedures and resources in place to promote scaling, implement a newly approved strategic plan, and creatively lead the organization’s growth in membership development and services.

Applicants are required to:

  • Submit a cover letter that expresses your desire to apply for the position and a brief statement on why you believe that your skills and experience qualify you to lead the IPA.
  • Submit a resume demonstrating a record of leadership, industry experience, strong business, financial and staff management expertise, including experience in an executive level position.
  • Application deadline is May 27, 2022.
