Our objectives are:

  • Address the needs and concerns of investors as well as our members.
  • Provide objective input to Federal and state authorities for the development of rules, regulations and guidance that govern our industry.
  • Build strong relations with organizations having similar objectives to ensure that the interests of our members are broadly represented.
  • Provide education and guidance that will expand our members’ knowledge and awareness in critical business decisions.
  • Build a positive awareness for the direct investment industry and instill confidence among investors through proactive public and media awareness initiatives.
  • Provide research, analysis and the dissemination of industry-wide statistics and, Provide for creation, publication and distribution of informational material that will be of benefit to the membership of the IPA as well as to the general public.

The IPA is governed by our Board of Trustees (the “Board”). The Board is comprised of Sponsor-members, Associate members representing law and accounting firms, due diligence specialists, banking and trust companies, and other industry specialist and broker dealer members. It represents diverse interests, and is openly governed by its Bylaws.

Our membership represents diverse entities, interests and points of view which include leading sponsors from the direct investment industry. Participants in the direct investment industry generally include real estate, oil and natural gas, equipment leasing programs and managed futures funds. It also includes professional diversity in the areas of law, accounting, banking, broker dealers, and other financial services who share a commonality of interests in the direct investment industry.
